Adlington Hall wedding | Jane and Dave
Its funny how sometimes you can not shoot at a venue for ages, and then a few come along in quick succession. The Adlington Hall wedding of Jane and Dave was the third that I shot in as many weeks.Jane booked me after seeing my work at a friend of hers whose wedding I shot last year at Sandhole Oak Barn. Like many other clients she just wanted to have her wedding day recorded honestly and without any fuss or intervention. In fact when we first discussed her wedding at Adlington Hall she was a bit nervous about how Dave would turn up to the wedding - it was one of the few times she had seen him in a suit let alone a tie. With guests from all over the world coming to Cheshire for the wedding we were blessed with fabulous weather ( a bit too bright sometimes !) I started at Janes parents house in Macclesfield for a few shots of her getting ready - and a very sad dog not being allowed to roam the house as usual !The ceremony was conducted in the medieval Great Hall completed in 1505, and is a spectacular place to get married. After the ceremony we managed to get outside for the drinks reception before it all got a bit chilly and we nipped off to do a short session of Jane and dave around the hall and inside. Having done quite a few weddings there now, including the present owner and the daughter of the Manager of Adlington Hall, I have a pretty good idea of where to go for the best shots but every time I go there I try to seek out a different location to make it unique for every bride and groom. One everyone had warmed up it was over to the Hunting Lodge for the reception and evening celebrations.Heres some of my favourite images from the day.
