 In all the years that I have been shooting weddings this was the first time that I had documented a wedding at the outstanding Thornton Manor. For the Thornton Manor wedding of Laura and Dan it meant an early start from Macclesfield for the trip across to the Wirral. Dan had decided to get ready at Thornton Manor as well as Laura - but he had a much smaller room in which to get ready !!Off to the church for a full catholic mass - and all that goes with it. Its a pretty sombre occasion and to be honest doesnt present many photographic opportunities, so I waited for Laura and Dan to make their exit. Then it was back to Thornton Manor and all its glory. Huge reception rooms and grounds that go on forever - if you are having a Thornton Manor wedding then you really are spoilt for choice - I could have shot all day in the grounds without repeating any scene.The main hall is truly spectacular - huge vaulted ceilings and a lovely balcony from which to shoot the speeches as well as the first dance - and this really gives you a sense of the grandeur of Thornton Manor.These are some of my favourite images from the day - if you are thinking of getting married and having a Thornton Manor wedding please give me a call - I would love to chat with you.
