Eaves Hall Wedding Photography | Lucy + Paul
Eaves Hall in West Bradford, Clitheroe is a former private members hotel for the Civil Service. I have shot a few weddings there over the past few years but the wedding of Lucy and Paul was one of best. Married in the nearby village of Waddington set in the beautiful Ribble Valley, Lucy and Paul wanted an informal coverage of their day with very little staged shots as possible. Its always a pleasure to be asked to produce Eves Hall Wedding Photography.Lucy got ready in one of the lodges on the estate along with her bridesmaids before the short trip to the church. After the ceremony it was all back to Eaves Hall for an outdoor reception which looked pretty unlikely 24 hours earlier. Im always amazed how people expect there to be lots and lots of formal "line-ups" and are chuffed to find that these are done with the minimum of fuss and usually within 15 mins - unless someone has disappeared. As you can probably tell Im not a big fan of group shots - they can interrupt the day sometimes but I recognise that they serve a purpose in the overall wedding day.Being primarily a documentary wedding photographer doesnt mean that all the elements of the day arent covered - its just done in a more subtle and less intrusive way. So, with the group shots done it was off around the grounds to get some shots of Lucy and Paul and then back in for the meal. One of my favourite images from the day was caught almost as I was leaving when Lucy and Paul were captured on their own in the garden away from the guests. Sometimes you just get lucky. Enjoy the images.
