Its been quite a while since I shot a wedding at Mottram Hall. To be honest, a few years ago it had become a bit of a "wedding factory" - and two weddings on the same day in the same location is never a good idea. However, I had heard that the owners, De Vere, had scrapped two weddings on the same day and had spent a few bob on bringing the place up to the standards expected by todays couples looking for an exclusive venue in which to get married. Well, they certainly have - and then some ! Very rarely when a hotel undergoes a makeover is it done on such a scale. Everything throughout the hotel co-ordinates. From the reception area, to the bedrooms, to the ceremony room - everything.The staff too were fabulous - when you shoot a lot of weddings you get to appreciate the difference between good and bad staff. Cant praise everyone at Mottram Hall too highly !Heres some of my favourite images from Stacey and Colins day - including one of my all time favourite images that will be going into my portfolio - it wont take a rocket scientist to work out which one !!
