From the archives heres my last Rowton Castle wedding shot on a very cold and frosty January !! Lois and Gareth had contacted me a few months earlier after searching around for someone who lived locally but was prepared to travel. Although shooting a Rowton Castle wedding isnt exactly local to Macclesfield when I heard that they were taking over the whole place to celebrate their marriage I was keen to shoot it as I had heard a lot of great things about this venue on the Welsh borders near Shrewsbury.Lois and Gareth both work in the hotel industry so finding a venue and a free weekend was a bit of a task. Rowton Castle was perfect as it was midway for guests to travel from Cheshire and Berkshire.They also wanted someone to document rather than control their wedding day - as well as shooting some naturally posed images of them together and some more creative "arty" images that I like to try to do when the light goes and I can either use some off camera flash or pose the bride and groom to reflect the venue and give a sense of place.Anyway heres my favourite images from the day.
